SPIn Issue Resolved

To Our Valued Partners,

We want to update you on an incident reported yesterday that affected our SPIn cloud-based integration tool and its subsequent resolution. Our engineering team was able to restore the SPIn service to an unaffected data center at approximately 8:30 pm ET.

This morning, the world press has reported nearly 1,000 incidents affecting airlines, banks, businesses, even emergency services. (CNN)

The global computer outage appears to stem at least partly from a software update issued by major US cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, experts told CNN.

CrowdStrike told customers early today (Friday) that the outages were caused by “a defect found in a single content update” of its software on Microsoft Windows operating systems, according to CEO George Kurtz.

CrowdStrike’s cybersecurity software — used by numerous Fortune 500 companies, including major global banks, health care and energy companies — detects and blocks hacking threats.

Our resolution:

Our technical teams immediately began working to resolve the SPIn outage. Leveraging our technical innovation and capabilities, we were able to overcome multiple failures on the Microsoft Azure cloud servers and successfully redirect the SPIn service to an unaffected Microsoft data center. The issue was fully resolved by 8:30 pm ET, resulting in a total downtime of approximately 2.5 hours.

Impact:

We recognize that this outage continues to have widespread effects, impacting various industries, including the airlines. We are proud to say that the Dejavoo technical team moved quickly to resolve the issue with as little impact as possible on our customers.

Moving Forward:

At Dejavoo, we remain committed to providing our sales partners and your customers with the highest level of service and support. We are conducting a thorough review of this incident and implementing additional measures to enhance the resilience of our services.
