Description:

Kitchen Host mode allows a register print kitchen receipts without user interaction. It’s possible to have one register (HOST) which used on connected to Kitchen printers and other (OPERATOR) that placed on a distance is used by Managers or Waiters.

Setting

1. Go to More → Settings → POS → Kitchen → Kitchen Host Mode

2. Set 1st Register as a Host

3. Add printer with Kitchen/Bar printer operations to Host Register

4. Set 2nd Register as an Operator

5. The Operator Register may:
   a. have no printers. The print will be done on the host printer;
   b. have the same printer as a host. This will not affect the operation of the printer in any way. The print will be done on the host printer;
   c. have another printer. If a kitchen/bar printer operations is running in the host register, the operator have to disable it on his printer. If the operator doesn’t do this, the receipt will only be printed in the operator's register and will not be sent to the host printer. But if you have two printers 1st - on kitchen location, 2nd - on operator’s location, it have to be with different print operations, for exemple, 1st - on kitchen location have a kitchen print operation, 2nd - on operator’s location have a bar print operation. The print will be done on the host printer (with kitchen items) and on operator printer (with bar items).

6. You may also disable this feature to work normally

Behavior with online orders

1. Kitchen screen OFF on operator register
   a. Create an online order with item for kitchen/bar printer
   b. Confirm the order on Register (kitchen screen doesn’t open). After confirmation status changed to “In work” and receipt print on the host (only host have a printer) or on the both printers (in case described in section Settings (c))

2. Kitchen screen ON on operator register
   a. Create an online order with item for kitchen/bar printer
   b. Confirm the order on Register (kitchen screen open). After confirmation status changed to “In work” and receipt print on the host printer. You may choose nothing on the kichen screen, the receipt on the host will be printed in any case after confirmation. This screen opens to control the printing of items on the operator's printer (see the section Settigs (c))

Behavior with local orders

1. Kitchen screen OFF on operator register
   a. Create an order with item for kitchen/bar printer locally
   b. Save or Pay for order. After saving/paying status changed to “In work” and receipt print on the host printer or on the both printers (in case described in section Settings (c))
   c. The order is not completed automatically after payment. You need to complete the order yourself by changing its status (change to “Ready and then to Finish”)

2. Kitchen screen ON on operator register
   a. Create an order with item for kitchen/bar printer locally
   b. Save or Pay for order. After saving/paying status changed to “In work” and receipt print on the host printer
   c. The order is not completed automatically after payment. You need to complete the order yourself by changing its status (change to “Ready and then to Finish”)
   d. The kitchen control icon on the cart screen need to control the printing of items on the operator's printer (see the section Settigs (c))
