Gratuity is automatic amount left for tables/seats larger than N-amount pre determined and forced on consumer, the one will be added to bill. Gratuity and Service charge has often the same meanings.
Conditions for using Gratuity
Restaurant mode
Tips&Gratuity enabled in POS or Settings Assistant
Split Cart Items by Guests enabled in POS or Settings Assistant
Table order type is selected (for payment process)
If everything is configured correctly, Gratuity section will be displayed:
Steps to set up Gratuity
Make Gratuity enabled
Set number of Guests - number of guests when gratuity starts calculation
e.g.:
0 - gratuity will be added when one guest or more;
1 - gratuity will be added when one guest or more;
5 - gratuity will be added when five guest or more.
Set value of Gratuity (percentage or fixed amount). Percentage amount is taken from subtotal amount (where: subtotal = items subtotal - discount)
Receipts
Gratuity is not displayed on receipts by default, you need to add this field in Receipt configurator.
Gratuity field is available for:
Precheck;
Sale non-terminal receipt (customer and merchant);
Terminal receipt.

XZ Reports
Gratuity is automatically added to XZ repot to “Category Sales” section:
Gratuity will be added to cash drawer (for payments by cash) if “Add tip and gratuity to cash drawer” is enabled (if this feature is disabled, gratuity won’t be added to Sales to Drawer Totals section):
Gratuity will be added to Tipouts section
