Before redeeming a gift card, make sure that the Gift payment tool and Use SPIn option is enabled on the Inventory page.

Once the order is created, proceed to Checkout and select the GIFT tender type.

After selecting GIFT, you can either check the gift card balance first and then send the transaction to the terminal, or proceed with the redemption without checking the balance.

If you choose to check the balance first, the request will be sent to the terminal. Device will open DvPaylite.

Swipe the gift card or enter the card number on the terminal to check the available balance. The balance will be displayed on the terminal first and then on the DejapayPro screen.

If there are enough funds on the gift card, you can redeem the full amount and complete the order. If the available balance is not enough, you can still redeem the available amount and pay the remaining balance using another tender type.

In this scenario, the flow works the same way as a Partial Payment.

If you proceed with the redemption without checking the balance first, and the gift card does not have enough funds, a Partial Approval message will appear on the terminal and then in DejapayPro.

From there, you can either charge the remaining amount using another tender type or void the transaction. If the transaction is voided, the redeemed funds will be returned to the gift card.
